Fashion Board Show!

What is Fashion Board you ask?  Great question!  Our 7th and 8th grade girls who have good grades and conduct are eligible to participate in Fashion Board under the direction of Mrs. Dickerson, 7th and 8th grade teacher and former co-owner of the John Robert Powers Modeling school in Memphis.  This opportunity allows our young ladies at CIAA to learn to dress for success, identify and practice business and social manners, and learn how to runway model the newest fashions.  Mrs. Dickerson has a vision for these young ladies to be able to embrace their inner beauty and intelligence, to present a confident and lady like appearance, and to practice good manners for the betterment of themselves and their future success.  Here is a sneak peek at the last presentation these beautiful young ladies participated in!

Little Yellow School Buses are Back!

It's that time of year again when our entire school gets "rolling" in buying Little Yellow School Buses to help raise money for our playground and technology needs for our school.  Students, staff, and teachers all challenge each other with fun at heart to see who can raise the most money. In the end, every year, there is always someone (Mrs. Sara) who gets to show our school how much we mean to her by completing a challenge!  So, parents send your students with $1.00 or more to purchase a Little Yellow School Bus so we all can help Mrs. Sara once again to get the chance to participate in an interesting and fun challenge!!!!  Deadline to purchase is March 7th!

Black History Program is another Great Success!

On February 28th, our school gathered together in honor of Black History Month and teachers and students both participated in a wonderful program that included many amazing performances showing how wonderfully our students integrate arts into their learning!  Here are a few photos from the program in case you missed it!

READERS HIT THE BIG TIME!!!

Our Principal Mrs. Sara Gangaware has challenged our students to reach high in their reading goals by earning 100AR points, reading 100 books, or reading 100 sight words.  Our kids went above and beyond to reach these goals and we are so proud of our top readers this year!  They have worked very hard! Congratulations to each of our students who hit their goal!

Skate Party!

Our students had a fun Saturday on the 23rd at our first skate party! This was a great way for the kids to spend some time with their friends while getting some healthy activity too!  Can't wait until our next one!
